Fouling before loading for hunt load

I* shot my 50 cal Triumph about 12 times a few days ago and was happy with the results. I am heading out for two hunts back to back... elk and Antelope in Colorado...should I clean the gun or just load and be ready to rock???

Well I don't Own a Triumph!

But after 12 Shots I'd Damn Sure Clean it Good & Then do one Fouling Shot!

If you can do a fouling shot prior, go for it. Even 25 grains with a patched roundball will foul the bore enough.
