Anybody getting excited yet! I am, have the entire hunt off. Actually found a few nice bucks on the Thousand Lakes. Got the Omega sighted in real pretty,gotta go out and shoot again. This time for fun and confidence building?. Barnes 290 grain T EZ and 100 grains blackhorn is the recipe.

How many points did you have for thousand lakes?

Believe it is the hardest general deer hunt to draw. I had 3 last year and did not draw. I moved to Cedar City so put went for pine valley instead. A lot of tags are taken by lifetime hunters for the unit.

I have hunted late cows there and always see a few above average bucks on the mountain.

I have the whole hunt off for my first deer tag. I have my 45 ready. I just need the opportunity.

That explains. I do not blame the lifetimers for picking this unit. Good area with no a lot of pressure.
