Best Muzzleloader Setup for Idaho?

I'd love to hunt with a muzzy in Idaho but I know they have some pretty stiff restrictions. In your opinion, what is the best setup? Gun, powder, bullet, etc?

Thanks!

Idaho doesn't have tough restrictions at all. I have several that are Idaho legal but prefer the traditional style my self.
This one is my deer, and antelope rifle. It is a 45 with a fast twist barrel. I shoot a 409 gr paper patched RCBS 11mm rifle bullet I cast my self. This rifle is accurate out to 300 yards.

This is what the bullets look like.

My other side locks look much the same but I am sure you are wanting to see idaho legal inlines.
This one is a Knight. Knight makes a lot of "North west legal" inlines. This one is a old MK85. I added peep sights and a globe front sight. The front sight has a BPCR insert that is a cross hair.
This rifle uses a paper patched 500 S&W bullet I make my self. I patch them and size them to fit the rifle. This rifle is accurate out to 250 yards. I haven't had the time to get to 300 yet.

While my rifles are sighted in for long range I never take the first shot over 150 yards. I practice way out there to make the close shots easy.

Shoot as many as possible, to see what fits you and what you like. All companies making good ones now. Make sure you remember caliber restrictions, so 50 cal is probably most useful for you. Twist for full caliber conical a is important so something between 1:22" to 1:32" is best. For loose powder I prefer Pyrodex P, use what gives you the best shooting groups. Some like 777, some like Pyrodex RS or Select. You can't use Blackhorn because doesn't light reliably with percussion caps. Bullets are power belts, Great Plains, no excuses, buffalo bullets, TC Maxiballs, roll your own paper patched and sized. So many choices and so much fun burning powder until you figure it out. You can even stick with traditional and round balls if you like authenticity. Build yourself a beautiful period rifle

I have a 50 cal Knight Disc Extreme that was set up last year for ID with peep and front sight. Camo thumbhole stock. Excellent condition still with no pitting in breech and clean bore. I'd sell it as I picked up a White and don't need two MZ's. Let me know if interested and I'll come up with a price. I have already done extensive load testing on this gun as well and can save you a lot of time and $$.

That Idahoron character know his stuff!
I always follow his posts with great interest since he's a "been there, done that" kind of guy when it comes to front-stuffers.
I tip my cap to that cat!
