Thanks to all those who offered advice on care, cleaning, loading, shooting etc the ole muzzleloader! I'm no spring chicken but an admitted front-stuffer rookie! THANKS!

The hunt was long and hard but extremely rewarding.

No need to go into load details since I've already documented it here in great detail.

Thanks for coming along,
Zeke

>Nice buck Zeke. Lots of mass

He shows off his mass better in the day time photo. A headlamp and cell phone don't take the best pics but I did what I could.

Thanks deadIBob.

Awesome antler color! Looks like he has an old buck nose too. Great animal!

You did great. Cool buck. I miss muzzleloader hunting. Haven't done it in years. Fun

Instead of typing those 16 words above, why not type what gun - what powder - what bullet and how far the shot was? You could have done that in 16 too!!!

Congrats on your harvest BTW.

Fair enough.

Rem 700 Ultimate Muzzleloader, 2.5x8 Leupold, 275 grain Parker Ballistic Extreme, yellow TC Super Glide sabots, 95 grains by weight (not volume) of BlackHorn 209, Federal 215 Gold Metal Match primers.
Shot distance was far but not extreme and certainly well within my effective range but one thing I know about MM is some things are best kept to one's self!
I did a poor job at keeping it to 16 words. Haha
Thanks,
Zeke
