I just sold my Encore and I am in the market new muzzleloader to hunt Utah and Colorado elk every few years. I sold the Encore because mine would not shoot a single bore size bullet under 6-8 inches. Plus I have never been a real fan of it. Anyway, I have been looking at what's available and I think either of these will work well. What are your experiences?

Thanks
Bob

I have no experience with the Remington Ultimate but I do have 2 Knight Disc Extremes. I had a custom breech plug fit to one of them and with Blackhorn powder it shoots great and there is zero blow back with Winchester 209 primers. Also Knights are known conical shooters which is why I have one and would use that in Colorado on a muzzleloader hunt.
I think both guns are good, but I understand the Remington is heavier of the two.
