LAST EDITED ON Nov-14-17 AT 00:53AM (MST)[p]So you think those 45s of yours are bad ass huh?

LOL, no I'm teasing Ron.

Just picked this one up some days ago.

45 70 Under Hammer
1: 22 twist
Straight 1 1/8" barrel
Just a tad under 14lbs

I already removed the sling studs. Some fool must have thought he would carry this around in the woods?

Not sure what I will do with it yet as I only do patched ball hunting now, but certainly a cool muzzleloader.

Frontier,

That is a gun that should shoot straight for long distances. How does the action break? I am assuming it is not a ML being a 45-70. I am having a blast at long distances with my ML with a 1 in 24 inch twist barrel using PP bullets. I have a friend who is on MM that thinks I'm nuts as much as I am shooting trying for just the right combination load.

I am going to be selling it, but I'd really experiment with the paper patch with this bad boy! I thought about ordering some ammo, but its just out of my league. I just love my sidelocks and round balls.

Heavier than an Ultimate Huh?:D

Good to hear from you Gander!
