Bore sight?

I have new accura 50 cal. that i havent been able to shoot bc of fire ban restrictions. I put Lyman front globe sight on top of Marble ramp and it is unclear whether it is centered or not. No positive stop on dovetail ramp... don 't really have a fine caliper to measure it exactly. Is there a bore sight for 50 cal. muzzleloaders?

I googled it... of course there is. Anyone used $10 LED cheapo from Scheels? Prob work ok just to get sight centered and Loctite-ed i hope

Never bought a bore site, but do it to almost every rifle I shoot to start. Just put it on a sandbag set up and remove the breechplug so you can see through the barrel from the rear. Put a bullseye on a target out at 25 yards and center it in the bore. Then adjust the site to match. Granted, store bought bore sites are more useful when you don't have somewhere to set up the target, but not that difficult.

Thanks, i thought of and did this yesterday after having a forum discussion with myself for a while!!! Seems pretty close. Looking forward to shooting; s'posed to rain all next week here so maybe relax fire restrictions...
