209 powder scale

Be aware that Blackhorn 209 is a hotter powder substitute more commonly measuered in volumetric units. 100 grains volume is not same as 100 grains by weight. See their site for conversions.

Electronic scales suck. They are not repeatable measuring to .1 grains. They are susceptible to fluorescent lights interfering with them and you need to add powder quickly to get the readings to increase correctly. A cheap balance beam is much better than any electronic scale for powder measuring.

hntbambi is correct
But mine is accurate to within .2 grains
So what I do is set mine .2 grains under my desired weight and then finish it with a trickle charger.

I use a cheap digital scale and transfer it to the BH209 plastic measuring tubes. That way the volume tube works as a safety check on my scale. The volume is very consistent for me.

I haven't done any experimenting to see if using the scale or just volume results in a more precise load.
