A Long Hike!

Two weekends ago I glassed up these sheds lying out in a valley but it was too late in the day to hike into them. So for a week I sat at work with them on my mind and also with the idea maybe there could be some browns out there too. Unfortunately, after a long hike and two snake encounters we only found the six white. My husband did glass up another set on our way out but there was no turning back at that point. I think I will be investing in some snake gaiters and making the long hike back in soon.

Nice! Don't know how you waited a week? I would have walked in the dark to pick them up :)

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer?

I know how you feel when it comes to waiting to get some horns. A couple years ago I was hunting with my sister and found 2 small white sets. I couldnt see the point in carrying them around while we hunted since they would be making noise and slowing me down ( thick country ). I planted them and marked them on the GPS. She ended up taking a great bull and I never had time to go back. next spring after the hunt I was itching to get back I'm there. After a long winter I went back in and they were right where I left them.
