Mounted sheds

Just mounted this buck up for a buddy. He found these sheds this spring.

That is an awesome set of sheds. That is a pretty good way to display them too. Looks good.

I could be wrong, its hard to tell from those pics, but those sheds might be mounted all kinds of wrong.

If those are the sheds off the buck I think they are, I targeted him last year and due to a communication error my buddy sent his friends in there and they picked them up before I got in there.

If those sheds are from Ryan's group, you need to get that mount back and fix it.

As taxi's go, their job is to make the customer happy with what they want. They worked several angles on the mount, both origanal position and how you see it. Since the finder had to look at it everyday, he chose this position because it looked more impressive. Its his first mount of any kind, and although he knows its not how the buck looked, it doesn't look un natural either. Reminds me of this buck from a few years back. I've seen the mount in person, and like you, I was originally bothered by it not being true to the live deer, but then its his mount and money, he should be happy, and is. I wouldn't rag on my neighbor for painting his red car yellow, even though I liked the red. Everybodys likes are different.

Those sheds kinda look out of place not that I am dogging the finder for mounting them how he wanted. its just the curves that go about where the top of the ears are. It looked a little off because of them before I seen the bucks live pics. Then I was like bingo there it is. I mean its not a horrid looking mount by any means but my eyes were just like thats a little off.

I was under the assumption that this was a terrible mistake.
Made out of simply not knowing.

I thought I was being helpful.

It never occurred to me that someone would intentionally do something like that.

Not my taste.

I mean, some people might like this???.

You might want that in your house, but to me its still wrong. Even if you like it, its just not correct.

You can slap a Ferrari sticker on your Honda, but in the end, you are only lying to yourself.
