Found this in late December by my cabin while snowmobiling. Thought it was an elk at first. No palm at all. I am guessing him at 2.5 years.

The first picture looks like a moose but the second picture at that angle looks like a whitey.... sweet find though.

the first picture you can see the sweep of the moose. that second angle is throwing me all off.

I found a muley shed that was shaped just like that. But since there is no point of reference in the picture, I'm sure it is way more massive than it looks. Cool shed!

You sure that's not a deer shed? I saw a mature buck on Dec 29 that had dropped one side. Not that unusual to find a fresh deer shed in late Dec.

Nice find either way.

>Thats a deer shed........

That would explain why I keep getting ticketed for shooting moose during deer season.

I may not be the smartest guy in the world but I am also not the dumbest. I promise its a moose. I will take additional pictures tonight.

These two show a better angle and some reference to size. When I match him up to the moose I have on the wall he ends up about 38" wide.

cool moose shed. Can tell its a moose by the "drop" off the pedicle.
It is weird that it has no palm to it, could be a real young moose that tried to grow a bigger rack than he was capable (good genetics).

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer?

I have seen a young moose or two with no palms like that. Had a buddy who killed one many years ago.

Since the shed was found amongst lots of moose sign, it must be a moose!

The picture with the shed in the chair you can see the moose formation. Its just crazy how different angles make it look different. The second picture with that angle looks like a whitey shed......... you could of posted that picture as a whitey shed and I would of fell for it.
