Idaho '14 First Hike

LAST EDITED ON Mar-20-14 AT 08:49PM (MST)[p]First hike of the year paid off for me this year! Hiked all day for a pack full of chalk deer antlers... then i stumbled upon this! Glassed it up, and ran to it!

If I were you, I would check on whether you can legally have those or not, some states don't allow you to posses bighorn heads without a tag.

Idaho allows it, find them and keep them, no questions asked... Nice find!

I too like the skullhooker, have a few myself. Nice and easy way to display euro mounts.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-21-14 AT 12:21PM (MST)[p] In Idaho you must immediately take a bighorn that is found dead and have it tagged by F&G. It is also illegal to sell them. You do get to keep them like Nick stated.

F&G plugged it within 10days of the day i found it, so everyone relax

pretty good genes for East Idaho, most rams around here with a curl and mass measurements like these are 8-10 yrs old.

I haven't heard of anyone picking up a bighorn yet this year. I usually see like 50 pictures of it if I do.
