Amazing Find on a Shed Hunt

I went out on Memorial Day to look for elk antlers, and after several hours, with no luck, I decided to go to a place where I was confident I might find a few deer sheds. I hadn't been to this area in over a year, and I recalled I had lost a small 8 inch Winchester sheath knife on that particular hike, when I must have had it slip out when I was getting my water bottle. When I got to my truck, all I had in the backpack was the knife sheath, and the terrain being steep and rugged, I really had no idea where or when I'd lost it. Well, today coming off this particular slope, I recollected that I'd been on the slope before. About halfway down the faded old deer trail, a glint of metal caught my eye. All that was showing was a few inches of metal where the blade meets the handle. You can imagine my amazement when I saw the Winchester stamping on the side of the blade! The knife is none the worse for wear, other than the wood handle is weathered a bit and lost its luster!
Oh...and I did manage to find a few "dinks", too!
Shed antler hunting, for me, ALWAYS an adventure! :)
