I've been doing a little scouting for the upcoming season and I came across these. It lets me pretend that I could ever find a buck like this on the hoof during the season. :)

The pictures don't really do justice to how big he is.
He is a legitimate 180"-185" buck with a big spread (the white rope is 30") The season is getting closer, here's hoping!
 
Yeah Oregon, not many big bucks left here any more so its cool to find one once in a while. Probably nothing for the Utah or Colorado guys to get excited about but it is an exceptional buck for Oregon. We've got some serious predation problems from cougars on top of the Cronic wasting disease and drought. Soon it will be wolves also. Just like everywhere else, the deer here are struggling.

Here is the best picture I could get. My daughter is in the process of saying "Dad they're too heavy!" It was like trying to take a picture of a hummingbird :) This picture gives you a little perspective on tine length and mass, though I couldn't get her to hold still long enough to get a picture of how wide they are.
