Uncovering my Nuts

Well after getting 222 for a fresh-shed total last spring I put all my nuts in one basket...

and I realized I had a problem...
So I calls down the Mrs. and I explains to her royal highness that my floors are too high or my ceilings are too low...
Paraphrasing her response- You have a @#%7ing problem and it isn't your house...

Later I was almost crushed by a horny avalanche as I walked by the tables holding my nuts,(the tables were holding my nuts I was merely admiring them) and rather than try to lose a few pounds so as to shake the earth less as I walked, I realized it was the long awaited moment of letting go...

So I sorted and fondled my nuts over and over again, until I came up with a paltry few I could part with, a sad day indeed.

Oh I have sold many hundreds over the years as lighting, cribbage boards,and candle holders, but never have so many of my nuts left the stash in one fell swoop. The good news is the nest now has room for a big spring influx of new fresh nuts.

LOL at your wifes response. 222 browns in one year is insaine to me. 222 would be a killer year for me if I was counting all the chauk horns.

It is a sad day to see your nuts go but sometimes you just got to let them go.

I did not know there were that many nuts in that part of Colorado. I guess I need to look harder.

I've never understood shed hunting.

I've picked up a few over the years, but I don't obsess over it like a lot do.

If'n I did have that many sheds, you can damn well bet I'd sell them and do something awesome with the money. You gotta be sittin on several grand there.

Ever watch "ice age" my favorite character is the squirrel, does he obsess over the acorn???

You are off by a wide margin the paltry pile of culls brought in $5K. A moose hunt and a new rifle to take along on it. The price of nuts went up last year to record highs for elk and near record for deer.
