After only finding ONE elk antler last year, 2015 has been fun and exciting. A friend told me where he had seen 4 bull elk crossing the highway about 30 miles north of where I live, and even though it was a huge gamble, I decided to go for a hike. After hiking several hours in really thick PJ, I was amazed to first find the left side of a decent bull, then stumble upon the match!
Then, in a subsequent visit to another nearby area, I was hiking an old burn, and came upon the nice 6x6 set about 20 ft. apart! Even if I find nothing else, it's been great so far. And May 12 in another area, I was amazed to see a nice 6x6 bull still packing! Shed antler hunting...ALWAYS an adventure!
