Utah opener on April 1

Since shed season is closed in my neck of the woods this year till, as of now May 15th, I'm going to make the trip to Utah and hunt your opener. I figure since your season is closed till 4/1 this year will be a great opportunity to find good spots. Just drive around and look for parked trucks at trailheads and public roads with local plates!
I'm going solo. If anyone has an interest in shed hunting some great spots in CO I'd be glad to take you out to some of my spots later this spring if you would do the same for me in Utah. If not I'll just look for your trucks!! LOL PM me if interested. Thanks.
Yes, I just completed my Utah ethics test yesterday after applying for my fall hunts.

Heck yes, go antler hunt where you can. Not sure about following anyone. You might be part of the blind leading the blind.

I'm not gonna follow anyone on foot! I'm just winging it and going to the unit I'll be deer hunting in. What I'm saying is I'll know I'm in the right place when I see local plates parked near likly spots.
With my luck I'll see local plates parked and they'll be bear hunting!

Thx heartshot. I've got a few special spots, local to me, where I use a decoy vehicle. What appears to be a broken down 90's vintage sedan is just me looking for sheds!! E

It might be a real good year for elk sheds here in utah. You never know you may find someones stash they were going to pick up. What part of wyoming are you coming from. And are you wanting to hunt northern or Southern Utah?

I'm from Gunnison CO. We're under special regs this year because of heavy snow. I'm going to be deer hunting in southern UT so I'll be focusing on shed hunting the same.

This will be the first year I actually go shed hunting in Utah and I've lived here my whole life. And I'm still not going to an amazing deer unit or anything... Don't want to be racing guys to sheds.

But with the April 1st date, I know that my odds are improved. How do I know..?? Cuz Wyoming always produces some fun stuff for me. And I don't care what I find, as long as I'm out there...
