Old favorites 2: 30" deadhead

Here s another old favorite found in same area as monster sheds i posted last November. 2008/2009 winterkill. His skeleton was intact in creek bottom, not strewn about. Have found multiple lion kills in the area over the yrs, but dont think this was one of them....

When i boiled skull, his nose was all bashed up and broken bones fell off... maybe he was hit by car and died back there? Bout half mile from a country road. I can still see bruised area on skull at nose.

Tips of G4's hit 30". Found shed from previous year though i cant find it in pile right now. Looks pretty similar to left side, a little lighter in mass msmt.

And I love deadheads. I don't get why people freak out in sadness seeing one or finding one.. I mean, the thing is dead, might as well find it!

Yes i love finding deadheads, found plenty when i used to hit it hard. This one was i think killed by a lion in same area. Two years earlier. Body was pulled up into a clump of junipers.
