After 4 days of hunting I took this deer at just over 300 yards with a winchester model 70 .270. I have always gone after muleys when it came to deer hunting but this year I decided to try my luck at the little guys after seeing some during my javelina hunt. I am hooked on hunting these little deer. I saw bucks every day and two that looked like they belonged on magazine covers but never had a clean shot at them. My hunting partner shot one as well and we will be back trying our luck again during next years archery opener. I am new to MM but hope to post again soon in the new year. Happy hunting.
