LAST EDITED ON Nov-19-08 AT 01:31PM (MST)[p]My son and I decided to turn our hunt into a more humane one. We're borrowing a pop-up trailer from his boss. The pop-up has a microwave and shower, so it can't be all bad. ;-)

We decided to encamp at the Universal RV Park in Arivaca beginning on TG day. My son drove down there on his motorcycle yesterday to check it out and do a bit of scouting. He reserved a spot for us, as well. Be nice to have electricity, restroom w/shower and running water for a change. Plus, we won't have to worry about the illegals stealing everything in sight.

The park also has a wireless connection. I also have my laptop along if anyone needs to e-mail home or such.

So if anyone wanders by, stop in and say "hello." My 1998 red Dodge 4x4 Quad cab with the license plate Tony10 will be parked there if we're back from hunting.

I'm leaving in a few hours for Arivaca. My son has a jr deer and javelina tag. I'll be armed with 8x56 swarovskis, oh! and a 44 mag.

Over the years I've seen quite a few javelina herds right along the Ruby Rd. after you pass Pena Blanca Lake. The deer hunting in some of those areas is normally pretty decent, as well. But it's a long drive to that area coming around from Arivaca. Best to access it at the Ruby Rd. exit.

Are you staying at the RV park in Arivaca?
