Unit 24 NM Coues

Hello. Any one ever hunted Unit 24 in NM for Coues? My buddy and I got tags for muzzleloader and have never been down there, and we have never seen Coues deer before either. I have been doing a lot of research, but if anyone can give advice or comments it would be greatly appreciated.

Never hunted there, but the neiboring unit 23 i have. and i have hunted them in AZ, for a long while. the best advice i can give is i hope you have good glass, and have keen eyes, they are fast and sneeky, disappear in a heart beat. good luck with your hunt. when does your hunt start?

The hunt starts Oct 31. So did you do any good in 23? I would be happy if we could at least see some.

That starts the day after my 27 AZ coues hunt ends. and we did do good my buddy shot a decent buck and we seen quite a few also its just really tough to get on them with a bow. and im sure you will see plenty, just look for the nastiest country around and thats where they will be hiding.

Awesome man thanks for the advice. I am from Northern NM and have never hunted in that part of the state. I have hunted whitetail but only in OK. I can't wait to give it a shot.
