Allen you forgot the pictures.
You got me all excited and there is nothing to see.

Great buck,

What did he score on mass? That is pretty sweet the way he webbed out on that right side. Congrats on a really fine Coues. Looks like you were in some beautiful country.

Maybe you can put an arrow in one this year, so you dont have to wait for the rifle hunt.

Founder posted the photos before I had a chance.

You have to tell us the story now.

I am really going to work to kill a big one with my bow this year. 2008 I shot one with my bow. As to this buck, he has some good mass with the webbed antlers. He is younger but based on not seeing any big one's I am happy. He scores right around 82-85.

I hunted 2 1/2 days. Day one....hiked in about 1 mile and stayed till dark. Saw 48 does and 2 bucks (neither one worth a second look) Day two we headed north in the unit for the morning hunt, saw 13 does (real windy). midday we went south close to the border and hiked in 1 mile. After glassing about 1 hour, the border patrol flew a helicopter right above us hovering, then 3 agents hiked up to where we were, must have thought we were illegals. We relocated (not much time left till dark) ended up seeing 12 does. Day three we decided we were going to try and hike away from the people. We hiked to a spot to glass the flats and the ridges. We saw muley does first thing and some coues does on the flats. At 10:15 I saw this buck way way out there on a ridge. I watched till he bedded in some thick stuff. We hiked aroud the back side of the ridge, then worked straight up. We glassed for 3 hours and couldnt find him. At 3:15 Brent saw the buck get up and reposition himself. I got the gun set up on the last place we saw him and 15 minutes later he got up. Once he came out from the ocotillo/mesquite brush pile he was in, I shot him. Those Barnes X bullets really do some damage. He only went 5 yards wobbling and fell down....... Thanks, Allen Taylor......
