What a great unusual buck. I sure dont see the buck grossing that high, where am I missing the inches?..... Thanks, Allen Taylor......

apache, are you sure you posted the right pic, 125? Looks like it's under a 100 even with all the cool stuff.............

Maybe the picture does'nt do it justice I think it might make100 just by looking at the photo but it is one of those naraley looking bucks nice buck though CM

hey guys i agree with both of you on this one, even with all that extra it was really uneven and i thought he would just top out over 100" but we never got a chance to score him only the hunter did after he got back home and told us what he taped it out at, not sure but he might have scored it wrong, anyway here's another shot of the buck next to one that my cousin took during the archery season, my cousin's 3x4 grossed 85".

Thank you Dan for the comments on my first Coues Deer. However as I was gracious enough to allow you to photo the deer (the one and only time I ever met you in camp), it would have been nice if you had asked my permission before posting the pics and info on the web. That said, I have included a field pic of the deer and have listed the exact measurements for those doubting the size. It is truly an awesome nontypical and scores extremely well due to lots of MASS! NT 5X6.Inside Spread 16 4/8. R Main Beam 16 4/8. L Main Beam 16 4/8. RG-1 2 6/8. RG-2 4 5/8. R Abnormal pts total 12 1/8. LG-1 2 6/8. LG-2 5 5/8. LG-3 3 3/8. L Abnomral pts total 6 5/8. RH-1 5 4/8. RH-2 4. RH-3 4. RH-4 3. LH-1 5 4/8. LH-2 4 4/8. LH-3 4 4/8. LH-4 4. (Total mass 35 inches!) Gross 122 3/8. Net 118 (missing RG-3 and length difference of R and L G-2). The buck has 3 broken points on the Left and 1 broken point on the Right. The size of the broken points would suggest that this buck would have easily scored net over the B&C minimum of 120 if they had still been present. These numbers are unofficial green scores. I'm no expert in scoring but errors are probably in the 1/8th of inches and not inches. The field score of 125 was a pretty good guess. I plan to do a shoulder mount. Taxidermist is Greg McBride at Trails End. Ron

Ron,
Congratulations on an awesome buck!!! Steve told me about your hunt a few days ago. Couldn't wait to see the pics. The first couple pics don't do him justice. Your field photo is great! Nice Job!!

From your field photos, I can believe it. That is a great picture. Congrats on a truly fantastic buck. This is the first time I have had some time to cruise the boards and look at some pics form the past season. All I can say is WOW!! I hope I can harvest one like that someday. That buck is going to make one beautiful mount.
Congrats again.
