I got this coues at my ranch a couple of weeks ago, I was going to the top of the big hill you see on the back and when I stop to take a rest, I started glassing and saw a doe on the bottom of the hill, I guess this coues also so the doe and jumped and started going down towards where I had seen the doe, fortunatly the buck did not see me and I was able to take a shoot. Since I was alone on this hunt It took me about 2 hours to get to the truck with the coues. The picture is outside the ranch house.

Great buck Beto! Looks like some steep/rough country you have on your ranch there....

Congrats and thanks for posting the pic!

The picture does not show for me, as I get the icon for "Image hosted by Angelfire." Congrats on getting the coues, Beto.

Thanks Stan. (I tried to call you today, but you were away from the phone.)

Beto, that big hill in the background looks pert steep, but then again, you look a lot younger than I do and could get to the top before resting. I, on the other hand, would have taken many "glassing opportunities" on the way up. Nice job composing and taking the picture.

Hey Beto,
Congrats on the amazing Coues, I like the picture as well.
Where is your ranch? looks like a great place to hunt.

Thanks kilowatt for posting the picture again, I have another picture of where the buck laid, I will post it but don't know if it will show. The ranch is about an hour and thirty minutes north-west of Hermosillo, most of the terrain is flat except for that big hill and another one that is in the ranch but not as big as el carnero. Saludos

I love those eye guards Beto, the whole body pict. shows how cool they look when you walk up to one.

Beto,

You are a coues killer! I didn't make it down there this year, but there seems to be some true brutes being killed. Congrats on ANOTHER big buck.

Great picture, I love Carnero in the background. We saw some good Coues on Carnero this year. Shot one over 100".
