zzzzzzz......

Yeh, is anyone finding any coues sheds?!
As soon as I get my mount back from this past January, I'll post a pic just so we have something on this board. :) I should have it in June.

We can hope everyone sleeps through the New Mexico application deadline and we all draw Burro Mountain tags. Gotta fluff my pillow.

Well, I bought a new bow this weekend so I'm already getting excited about the archery hunts. I gotta new toy to play with between now and August.

Matt,
What did you get? With lots of 3D's in the mountains this summer, you should be ready for a fun fall season.

I bought an AR 31 with the Ram and Half cam. I looked at a lot of different bows and shot several of them and when in came down to it, the $200 I saved on this one made a huge difference. I couldn't tell a significant difference between this one and the others.

I just need to find some time to get it sighted in. This is the fun part anyways.

I am in for NM coues. I have been shooting coyotes and trying to catch fish. Sometime this month I might get serious about looking for drop antlers.

Hey Bret, while you've been popping dogs and catching sea creatures I've already found all the sheds. So just kick back in your float tube or boat and relax knowing good and well there aren't any left to get cause antlerboy's got em all already! HA HA HA! Are the bass spawning yet? I caught a decent one the other day in a tank, maybe 1.5lbs and my buddy caught one that was 2.5-3lbs. Man I love catching nice bass!

The bass are spawning. I lost a hog on a swimbait at the bank at Canyon a few weeks ago. It had to be close to 9 pounds. Other than that I have been mostly catching dinks, less than 2 pounds, but I did score on a big walleye and a few nice cats this month.
I acted like a fool and climbed clear to the top of Iron mountain in the Superstitions last Friday, basically getting hung up in Manzantia and scrub oak patches the entire way while "looking" for antlers. I saw alot of deer, some snakes and stepped in quite a few piles of fresh bear crap. I found no antlers. You must have beat me up the side of that ugly b@st@rd and picked 'em all up already ;-). Maybe next week I will get lucky and find some in one of my other top secret spots.

Nice fish Brett. Love that sturdy looking channel cat! After my son and I get through slaying a couple of turkeys in 23 on Friday morning (positive thinking... ;-) ), we may head down to the diversion/muddy-banks to see what's up with the flatheads.

Has anyone been to the upper end of Roosevelt lately? How far up the Salt River is the lake backed-up?

hey bullwidgeon, i thought your bass of preference was of the bugle mouth variety? i guess them must be "bait".

You had a SERIOUSLY long nap Scott!!!! ;-) Glad to see you back around....

I recon things will wake-up around here before too long. Erik and I shot craps on our turkey hunt last weekend. It didn't help that the poor boy woke-up with the stomach flu on opening day. Rough way to start out.... Made for an adventure though.

Hoping to get-up in a couple of weeks.

What do you mean by "shot craps" and stomach flu in the same sentance??? LOL! Good to be back Stan...yeah...long nap! But I'm up and at 'em now...for awhile anyways!
