What coues hunts did you draw?
I have the Nov 5-9 hunt in Unit 23, so I see a scouting trip or two in my future. I hunted around Brushy Mtn last time and encountered too many people, but most stayed close to the roads.

Congrats Doug! We were shut out again for N.M. Hey I have noticed on Yahoo weather that they say Flag should be getting thunderstorms recently. Has Flag got any rain in the last couple of days?

Jim,
Last night we got some sprinkles at the house here in Kachina Village, and a few drops the past few evenings, but nothing considered enough to water the grass. There were some good showers and hail the weekend of the 11th.
I'm looking forward to hunting a new area in NM unit 23. Did you draw in Utah, CO or elsewhere?

Doug struck out in Utah also. Did get a archery deer Tag in Colorado. Interseting hunt should be able to hunt them in the rut I think the key will be picking the right time to go. It is pretty open country so we need the rut to allow us the opportunity to get close enough to get one with a bow. Congrats agian. Now my last hope for an elk tag is Az, and I think that will be a long shot at best!

Drew a NM unit 24 Coues deer Jan 1-15 archery. I'll take it, although I was really hoping for the coveted Burros tag. Maybe next year!
