Just drew NM 27 for Coues. I have never hunted Coues deer before. I have hunted Mule deer for many, many years though. I am wondering how the unit is for deer numbers and how to judge a good Coues buck.
I have wanted to do something different as far as a deer hunt goes, and also to see some beautiful new country. I hope I have done enough research to have drawn a fairly good Coues tag. It won't take a monster buck to make a great hunt for me. I wouldn't even mind not shooting one, if it doesn't work out. It is just exciting to see new places and meet new people.
