Hey thought you guys that were into coues deer could help me maybe. I was told that the hd version spotting scopes are fragile and shouldnt be used for backpacking, rough hunting type situations, is this true? I want the best scope and glass possible but not if its gonna be fragile. Anyone know about this stuff? Gary

Gary, I have never heard that but there is a guy on here that goes by Muley62 (Chris Denham) who is a Swarovski employee and he should pipe in if he's in town. Until he does, I believe Any good piece of glass is fragile, but these scopes are made for hunting and if you keep good care, use the case and dont drop the spotter, it definitely will take any normal wear and tear you give it......... Thanks, Allen Taylor......

Thanks Allen, I'll soon find out for myself. I ordered the ats65hd today. Merry christmas to me.....Merry christmas to me....Sometimes divorce aint so bad....lol Gary

Thats the spirit....LOL.......you will never regret this good glass. You need to get a pair of 15's before you get married again.......LOL.......I almost got divorced because I bought 10's and then 3 months later bought 15's and she found the "secret" credit card receipt and I was busted.......glad you got your spotter and I have alot of friends that use the same one and never complain...... Thanks, Allen Taylor......
