Anyone willing to help a broke college student would be a savior, would somebody please tell me what to expect in this area, and where not to hunt. I will have a weekend to scout before the hunt and 6 days on the hunt. I was told to hunt by arivica? Can anyone confirm this? How are the deer heards down there?

I have not hunted 36a, I hunt accross the road 36c. You should buy the coues book by Duwane Adams, it provides great info and specifics on 36a. You can access the unit from 286 if you want/Arivica. This is a good unit hike in a ways and glass your bottom off........ Thanks, Allen Taylor......

I am a broke college dropout. I have a 36A october tag. I have never hunted it for myself before, just helped a bunch of other goofballs out down there. Can someone please tell me where they have seen all the big deer in that unit?
When I get back from my hunt I promise I will fill all of you in with November tags as exactly just what to expect down there. Thank you ;-)

Seriously what is on the Game and Fish page is the "secret spots" in that unit.

Bret,
Can you swing your spotter to the west and look into 36c. I am a broke college graduate with a November tag. Appreciate that you're scouting for me-wink.

Well the deer heards you were coming and moved into 36B and 36C for the remainder of the year. Must be a U of A student. CB

Lots of deer, mulies and coues, lots of illegals, lots of garbage, lots of hunters. I hunt the sw portion of the unit and if you hike away from roads and up mountains you will get away from others. The terrain is rough, and everything pokes you. Wear good boots and practice walking on marbles. Good luck.
