My taxidermist finished this recently. It is just incredible to look at....seems like it's going to jump off the rock any moment. My taxidermist is Dan Lee - Artist Touch Taxidermy.

Here is one a little closer of his head gear....

Real nice looking-a great addition to your trophy room. I have heard a couple of people say that Dan Lee does a great coues mount, and yours is proof.

That is a beautiful mount and a great deer. Congrats on both. If you don't mind my asking, about how much does a mount like that set you back. Scott/couesbitten

LAST EDITED ON Oct-01-05 AT 01:56AM (MST)[p]Whoa!! Sorry for any confusion in the original post, I only WISH it was mine. This was hanging in Danny's shop when I took the antlers from my bull in. I have not asked what it would cost for a mount like this, but I will!!

Here's a few photos of the same deer that Dan Lee's hunting buddy Mike sent me. I believe this deer scored 111" and was taken by Dan last year. Dan does awesome work on coues deer. Be sure to get in the coues contest on this site this year. Dan donated a $100.00 off a shoulder mount for one of the prizes.

A Wall mount is $4100

Floor mount is $3800

To get this Price, you have to call Dan for pre-hunt skinning intstructions. ?A Must?

Carl,
I was ready to pull the trigger. Awesome pics to compliment the mount.

That is a beautiful mount, and it does look very real, but........ $4000. I rhink I'm going to stick to the shoulder mounts. Besides when I showed these photo's to my wife, she just sneered at them. Scott/couesbitten

Carl,

I believe those are some of the pics Danny is using for his upcoming advertising. Discount or not, he is mounting mine if I happen to drop one next month. Can't wait.....

Thanks for posting the pictures.

wow!!!! That thing looks awesome. I wanted to run an arrow thru him while he was on the rock, thought it was a live photo at 1st being outside and all.

That is as close to the real thing as you can get. And if you figure the cost per inch - it is not that bad. Good thing that the Coues is small species! Awesome buck though. Bigger than all the whitetails here in Central TX.
