NMHUNTNUTT1,
I applied for coues. I didnt want to apply for a sure bet permit because thats a heck of a drive down there, especially with those skin walker thingys down there! LOL Actually, I think im using reverse pychology on myself. If I dont want to draw the tag due to the traveling involved, maybe Ill draw it! :)

Ya done good 23 is probly NM best coues deer unit , but long ways from skin walker country...no thingys they;re for real

Good coues country. Along the AZ. border and of course in the Burros. A hunting buddy of mine a killed some real nice bucks near winchester mountain south of glenwood. Found a skull in there that scored 124 and change. Can you say TOAD! Also shot a huge black bear, yes in 23, 386 lbs. But you need to get far from the roads if you want a good hunt.

sorry boys havn't been here for awhile, but you boys can laugh all you want and make fun, if I new how to download a picture on here i'de do but give me your e-mial and i'll send you a picture, 28" wide and very heavy, nice beautiful typical 4x4 with nice eye gaurds and an extra kicker on the back fork, nice deep 10" forks. this dude was a toad, getting old, aged bewteen 8-9, the rancher figures he was bigger last year, and that this year he had actually lost a little from wht he had been the previous year. really grey almost white face and upper neck.....

Hey turkey boy do you know any good taxidermist where your from that might help you make that buck look like he's a real 180.

Hey Fever

Looks like tomgobbler can't seem to shut you up even after showing a picture of one of the best muleys i've seen taken from my neck of the woods. Either you guys are good friends, or your here to pick a fight. Which is it?

LOL i'de like to know the same thing! I'm guessing it is someone that knows me but their provile won't open up so I can not see who it is. However they are just jealous of the buck, don't yawl think ?! :)

Who's the only person who would fly 3000 miles to S. Carolina to see ya while you were there. Let's just say me and gobbler spent alot of time growing up together. Gobbler call in my first turkey for me. How about the time you almost killed me and those two girls in the pickup coming down off water canyon road. Throwing all of the camping gear all over the highway.
We did more thing's together as cousin's than most brother's. I could'nt start to count the amount of miles we traveled together going to rodeo's,hunting ,fishing, hauling hay all summer so we would have entry fee money, chasing girls.

I had to close the profile or you would have known who it was.

I could'nt help it when I saw your post Tom. Helluva buck man. Hope your not mad.I still think you need to be hunting real deer.

Nice fever , I kinda figured you were playing KOY , but wasn't sure . I agree , great buck...

Thanks Hiker, I would sure love to be inconvinenced with one of those tags myself. :) Good luck to you in this years drawings.

That is a really nice buck Tom! Especially for SW NM. Gotta love those French Mule Deer :) Care to share how you got on a private ranch? Did you go through an outfitter, pay a trespass fee, get a landowner tag, know the rancher, etc and about how much did it cost? Thanks for sharing and congrats again! CB

Fever,

I'm sure Tom would be very pleased to know who you are. We can never forget those young memories :).

Tom I agree with Jason...when are going to start hunting real deer? hehe :)

Good Luck

Hey Jay, you sorry cuuss how are you! Haven't talked to you in for ever! how did all of the mexico hunts go? I started to call you last week I had a couple of clients go to mexico to hunt turkey and wanted to know how to bring there birds back across the border, and i figureds you would know, but anyway. How do you like that mule deer! I was hunting one with double drop tines the rancher claimed was 30+ wide, I never could get on him and had to "settle" for that one, but he is nice huh. I'm headed up this weekend to hunt turkey were I called in that bird for you, 15 years ago. Come up and spend the weekend with us. Man you should of seen a couple of the skulls and sheds off of couse deer this rancher had, you would drool. He had some monster couse deer as well as the mulley's. I do hunt the "real deer" as you guys state it. I hunt Mule deer in NM and couse in AZ. that way I get both hunts in. To answer your question yea I know the rancher, my great uncle ownes it and his son lives there and runs it, and they invited me over to hunt. Anyway, When I get the pictured developed of the mount i'll post them for ya. take care Jay and drop me a line!

Tomgobbler I'll call ya.

Now to get back to the real subject coues deer in 23. Here are a couple I have been lucky enough to take.
