Survey Results and Commission Meeting
The Arizona Deer Association would like to thank you for taking the time to participate in our survey regarding the proposed changes to the deer hunting structure for 2006. To date we have had almost 6,500 hunters take the survey. You can view the results by clicking on the "view results of the survey" link on the main page of the ADA website www.azdeer.org
This Saturday we will be presenting this data and its obvious conclusions to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission. While the ADA has complete faith in the validity of this survey, we have no way of knowing how the Commission or Department will respect this data. Therefore, the best way to let the Commission know your feelings is to come to the meeting and tell them; otherwise they will make the decision that is best for them.
If this is important to you, please MAKE the time to attend the Commission meeting this Saturday, April 22. It is being held at the Hilton Garden Inn at 4000 N Central, in Phoenix, starting around 8:00 a.m. Given the large agenda it is impossible to predict exactly when the deer hunt proposals will be discussed.
Please fill out a "blue speaker card" at the sign in table. You do not have to speak but let the commission know your feelings on that card.
If we don't have a large number of people show up the Department's recommendations are likely to get Commission support and you will see your hunts changing. If it's important to you, don't count on others being able to fight this without you being present.
