34A whitetail

Got myself a tag for the Dec 15-31.Have hunted Mule deer for the last 24 years that I have lived in Az and want to give the coues a shot.They say once you start hunting the coues deer you will not go back to Muleys.I don't know anything about the unit and could use some help on were to start scouting. Will listen to anything that is thrown out there.

34a dec was my first choice hunt,,, didnt get it but i saw some big bucks running some does down there last year,, i dont know the name of the roads we were on but it was about 8 miles south of sonoita>?......cbryant

I will be getting my guide license soon, and will be specializing in unit 34A for whitetail. I live on the northern edge of 34A. I will help hunters with A Dec 34A hunt for free this year to gain the experience and to get my name recognized as a quality, hard working guide. If interested let me know.
I am already helping some people during the Oct and Nov hunt.

Yes!

This will be my first coues hunt and I am considering all option, for I will not be able to get down to that unit to scout.

I am going to do this hunt with my muzzleloader,any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.

Hey Mossback,
My buddy and I drew Dec. WT tags in 34A also. We have never hunted this unit before but I have been addicted to hunting these coues deer for about 12 years now and have hunted them mostly in the 36 units. I have always wanted to hunt 34A in Dec and finally got the draw. I have not scouted yet as my wife (the luckiest person on earth) drew a late 12A East mule deer tag and I am concentrating on learning about that hunt first. I am an AZ native but I have never even been to the Kaibab before, but I am determined to get her a shot at a great muley. Send me a PM sometime maybe we can compare notes.

Hey all - I have the Oct 27-Nov1 tag. I won't be able to hunt all of those days, and I need to commute from Queen Creek each day. All that being said, if anyone wants to join me for a day, they are more than welcome to. I plan on hunting Saturday, Monday and Tuesday....
