What did everyone put in for????

Well. It's about that time again. I was just wondering what everyone hopes they draw for this year? I just hope for a Nov 36C tag. It's been a couple years since I've hunted AZ. I'm just looking forward to another opportunity. It'll be my first hunt with my future brother in law. I'm hoping to draw and for a great hunt.

So...let's hear it!

Hope all is well for you. I think I'll go for one of the 36 early hunts again this year. I'll have two boys doing junior hunts this year (if the drawing gods smile...), so it's going to be a BUSY fall! ;-)

Ive been lucky this year, drew an antelope tag for unit1 and a elk tag for 6b, puttin in for a Nov 36c for deer and javalina but havent decided where yet.

Scott,
I was seeing how long it would be before someone posted in the coues section. I will be trying a different unit this year, rather than 36C, to get away from the border issues. I may not be alone in this move, so your draw odds for 36 will likely increase.

I am doing like Doug, putting in for another unit, maybe 23 for rifle and then I am bowhunting for sure this year. I have already put my mineral licks out and the deer are coming into my spots, so it has been fun going out and checking. I have never shot a deer with a bow so I am kinda pumped about this years bow season for myself and my son........... Thanks, Allen Taylor......

Allen,
If 23 is placed as an alternative management unit with up to 30% of the harvest in Dec, I wonder to what number the December tags will increase, if any. And if the number of Oct and Nov tags will be decreased to allow for an older age class of bucks. Have you heard anything about this being said in the meetings?

Doug, I havent heard anything or received any emails regarding the tag alotments but my gut feel is that the December tags will go up, taking the increase from the Oct/Nov tags. I think this whole "hunter opportunity" issue is kinda smoke and mirrors on the departments part. I think they are catering to voters and revenue more than hunters. I think there is alot of politics going on trying to show that AZ "listens" to its residents, but the real story is most avid hunters do not agree with more tags being issued. I sure hope our state doesnt begin a steady decline in quality due to increased pressure........ Thanks, Allen Taylor......

WEll I wish everyone the BEST OF LUCK! I'm especially excited about this hunt. It's my first time back hunting my home state of AZ in 3 years!!! And I get to do it with my future-bro-in-law. He's a great guy. Some day some of my az pals will get to meet him.

Doug- What do you mean "boarder issues"? The illegals running across? Should I consider another unit?

hey Guys Im wondering if the illegal problem is bigger this year than last I
ve been hunting 36abc for about 8 years now and havent had any trouble yet but Im always on the lookout for it. I know last year in 36c I saw BP everymorning and they always had a busload , but I only saw one illegal myself in the whole time I was out there.

then lets see - I always leave the best for my last 3
