Partner's B&C Columbian Blacktail

Thought I'd post something to keep the blacktail hunting embers going. Here's a photo of my hunting partner's B&C Columbian Blacktail buck he arrowed in August this past season. It was arrowed in Northern California and scores in the 120's. Hope you enjoy.

Nice buck there, congrats to your buddy there Roy. I take it this was in A Zone?? Mind saying what county?
I live up here in the north, but no longer hunt CA for deer.

Actually, it was arrowed in the Trinity Alps Wilderness which I believe is a "B" zone???? It's a nice backpack hunt with some decent bucks for those who enjoy roughing it.

Thanks for the reply and Im sure you are correct just didn't think about that area but regs state your reply's are right.

I use to hunt B2 along time ago which is south of there.

Great Buck!
I hunt there quite often,I am hunting there this year!
It's tough hunting,I backpack in about six miles then go straight up!
Is he hunting out of "the Gulch"?

Great looking blackie. I'm going to have to give that area a try sometime as always hearing good things about it but can never seem to break the old habit of A zone. Even with the pressure the area gets nowadays.Have been thinking about the Shasta area for this year though. Hello to everyone as I finally got this dang computer problem figured that wasn't allowing me to post. Funny what following directions will do for ya! Haha
