High Country Blacktails

I was wondring if any of you have experience hunting blackies in the high country. I was hoping to get out and do a early high country hunt this year but have never hunted in those conditions and would greatly appreciate some advice. If any of you hunt in W.Wa I am planning on going up by the Goat Rocks below White Pass. Thanks Jordan

don't know the country you speak of but high country deer are alittle more jumpy in my opinion, they hear a noise and they don't wait around to see what made it, tuffer hunt unless you go un-noticed.......good luck......

Blacktail_boy,
I have always wanted/intended to go on an early season, high country, wilderness blacktail hunt, but havn't yet. If you want to hunt high for Blacktails, I would recommend the early season wilderness area hunts on the Olympic Peninsula. Have seen some pictures of very respectable bucks from some of those areas.

Hunt them like you would a high country mule deer, spot and stalk and focus on the roughest areas around.
