Kern River Buck Hunt

Hey, I'm looking for some opinions on the Kern River Buck Hunt in CA. (G6 zone). My buddy got drawn for the hunt and would like to know what would be considered a big buck for this hunt. Several years ago I helped another friend kill a 21" 3x3, but I feel there should be better bucks out there. I'm thinking at least a 23-24" 4x. What do you guys think? Are we setting our standards too high? Thanks

Don this is the year for your hunt. Pray that the snow keeps on comming. I think your expectations are in the ball park and doable especially if more weather comes, which it looks like its going to. I have a buddy and his dad that also drew this year. Good luck. Ed F
