Here is a picture of a 2004 western Washington blacktail that my dad took on his first muzzleloader hunt. They were lucky enough to have the deer run a few hundred yards toward the truck so there wasn't much of a pack out (notice the truck in the background). He's taken many deer with a rifle but after this hunt I'm pretty sure he is hooked to the old smokepole.
