Nice buck.
Took a few pictures the other day of some bucks in A-zone. I will try to post pictures in a few days. It seems that half the bucks here have already dropped their antlers. It seems early, guess it's time to start shed hunting. Anyone else have any pictures of bucks that made it through the season?

Here are the pictures I took the other night. Not as clear as Kyle's but will have to do. I was on my way to try and call in a bobcat down a canyon when I spotted them. Took pictures through my spotting scope across the canyon. Never made it down the canyon to call cats before it got dark.

You just did, welcome aboard here at MM. You will get some very helpful info and mmet some great guys and gals here too.
Some have a habit of being verbal, but just don't take them serious, all a bunch of mellow cats. LOL

dbmaddog.....welcome! Feel free to just jump right in! We look forward to new information and ideas. Try to have fun! Sometimes we have a weird sense of humor too!:)

Steve

dbmaddog,
One thing you want to remember, just don't let some of these fellas try to talk you into a Turtle Hunt, it becomes too habit forming.

Thanks everyone thats the best welcome i have ever gotten,I was with another site for 5 years devoted to blacktails and with helping promote the site.So I am hoping to get to this with this site,I like to take guys out that have trouble finding blacktails like i did for this kid lupe jr who is over fighting in Iraq.He is only 20 years old and only killed 1 small blacktail so i invited him up to the ranch where i guide and took him out and got him a nice symetrical 3x3 with eyeguards not a huge buck but a very nice looking blacktail.so hopefully after getting to know some of you guys i might be able to offer something like that to someone on this site thathas'nt killed many bucks.I'm 44 years old and I'm retired military with a medal of honor, and its important to me to teach as many young kids as I can to hunt the elusive blacktail and pass on as much info as i can because I have no kids of my own to pass this heritage and knowledge to as I have come from a long line of hunters and I have been hunting blacktails since i was 2 years old in northern calif. And as soon as i can get some photo's resized i will post lupe jr 3x3 blacktail. Dan

dbmaddog....I clicked on the link but it said the page has been moved or no longer exists. Maybe I did something wrong.

I'm from N. California. Been hunting blacktails here since 1964. Almost all on public land. I once belonged to a hunting club but it fell apart. I sure do miss it.

Really nice story of your friend in Iraq. I bet he will be surprised with his mount.

The Blacktail Forum gets a little slow at times as this is mainly about Mule deer, so feel free to click around and join in where ever you like. There are over 8000 of us on this site, so there is always something going on.

Brian your the man how did you do that, thought i had it figured out LOL well better start getting this right. LOL thanks again brian, do I have to make an image gallery on this site ? well i will give it a try again with a different buck on another postLOL Dan

Dan,
Some how you had the URL twice there and on both of them it was missing the " .jpg " at the very end of address. All I did was highlight the entire link starting with http:// and at the end just added .jpg and it works.

Any time you have questions, feel free to ask and we can help. Looked at your profile, we are about 30-40 miles as the crow fly's. There are a few others around this website that don't live that far away from you too.
