Black Tail Rut?

We are planning a trip in july to a ranch near King City , Ca. to bow hunt Blacktails and were wondering if the deer would be rutting at that time or when they do rut. Here in southern Ca. the deer rut in late sept. or early oct. I beleive they are a type of Blacktail. The fish and game calls them Pacific Hybrids. They look like a Blacktail to me I think they are a little smaller than the ones up north though. Any help would be great. Here is a pic of a Pacific Hybrid from last year.

Rutting in July?...highly unlikely. Wow, you could be in for some hot weather. I do know that in some of the A zones the rut is in mid to late Sept. In the northern coastal range the blackies usually rut in the month of NOV.

they won't start to rut in King city till the end of September at the earliest. they'll still be in velvet in july.
