has anybody done a boat hunt for blacktail sitka's, how was the hunt and who with?

I will be doing my first Sitka hunt this year out of Kodiak. A friend of mine's uncle guides there so I a pretty good hook up. Where are you planning to go.

somewhere in alaska, i am from maryland, so thats why i was leaning toward a boat hunt, something with lodging and food provided. cant really bring all my camping stuff on the plane.

Oct and Sept are not really my favorite months to be out camping on Kodiak, PWS or Southeast. Give me a nice cabin or boat to get warm and dry out all my gear thank-you very much.
'bout the only time I'll camp in the woods anymore is in August for the deer opener in alpine. I like to spike camp right at, or just above, treeline.

nobody has done a sitka boat hunt before? come on guys, someone has to have some personal experience with one of these outfits. any info would be a big help.

maybe try blacktailcountry.com, there are some serious sitka hunters on that site.

BTCountry is a good site. You may also want to post the question on the Alaska Outdoor Forum website. That's about the most active AK hunting forum on the web. Sorry I can't help but I do most of my BT hunting with a backpack strapped to my back. Also most of the bigger outfits come in from Homer and don't stay long in Kodiak before moving on to the hunting grounds.
