Well since A-zone archery ended last week, does anyone have any stories to tell. I thought this year was going to be a great year, but I was not that impressed with the quality or quanty of bucks I found. I did see one dandy buck I hope to get in the upcomming rifle season, and another medium 4x4 that gave me the slip three different times. He taught me a few leasons.

I was able to connect on a nice buck on Monday the 24th in the great California heat. It was 104 when I left my truck and started hiking that evening. Hopefully I will have time to post a picture this weekend.

How did everyone else do?

It was my first year with a bow. No aroows left the sting. I did see one 4X4 that I will be after next saturday. On last Sunday I got 15 yards froma good buck and then the wind changed so I got to see a nice 3 pointer run away on me. All and all I was happy for my first year.

Good buck. I have seen a few good bucks but really not impressed with quantity of deer. Going to scout a bit tonight and tomorrow. Opening is more of a ritual than a hunt for us, as we don't get serious untill September.

Nice buck Orlando.
Here is a picture of the buck I got. 21.5 inches wide 3x3. I found the 4 point shed as I was walking up to the dead buck. I also added a picture I took through my spotting scope of a large 4x4 I am hoping to get when season starts up again. I could not find him after I took the picture.
