Wow!
That one buck is a Booner for sure!
These bucks may not impress the hard core muley guys, but they are lifetime bucks for many blacktail hunters.
Thanks for sharing!

Those are some great photos! Thanks for posting. Looks like this may end up being a great year by some of the pictures we have been seeing.

HOLY SMOKES !! I wanna see buck #2 in my cross hairs opening morning . Great pictures . Thanks for sharing .

Those are some insane blacktails, I take it they're all on private land though. Super cool pics thanks for sharing.

Ya most are feeding on private alfalfa fields, but Ive got some areas that i can get to around the alfalfa that hopefully I can let the air out of one of these bruisers with a bow and arrow. No luck hunting them with a rifle but Ill take the oppertunity to bow hunt them on a buddies property.
HERES SOME MORE

Back when I lived on a ranch here in Nor Cal, I used to have a couple of little bucks that would come into our barn too!

JR.....here's a hunting tip for you. When one of those bucks goes into the barn, run over there and close the door! LOL!

I think I would end up "flock shooting" and miss them all in that first photo.

Thanks for posting those great pictures.

Looks like JR's been pokin around Scarface Rd. here in the valley. It's kinda funny cause there's a steady stream of cars on that road every evening. Just about every year they bust someone for poaching with a bow. It's all private ground. If these pics are'nt where i think they are sorry. Sure looks like it though.

Scarface it is, and some on the East Side road as well.I also have some ground over in Etna Ive been on but the bucks seem to stay in the alfalfa and dont venture up in the brush right now(i.e)fuzzybones on thier heads.Ive been shootin bucks(pics) in the valley for a few years now(have some great dvd collections of the same bucks year after year.Sure would like to get permission on some of that ground around scareface but ohwell.still cool to photo them. The Etna place might turn up some good bucks in the fall but not that interested in shootin anything average and thats what usually hangs on this particular property.Hopefully ill be tagged out by thenm anyway...

Yea, lots of people would like to get permission up Scarface.
I work with a gal who's family owns tons of ground up there.
Your picture of that monster in the field with the pivot line is their ground and all the way up into that big gulch above that.
They also own a bunch up Scarface where that big house with all the rose gardens and grapes are, the one with the nice pond in the field. I have access to some "eastside" ground down between Etna and Callahan that is very good "IF" it storms and kicks the migration into gear. You live around here??

That biggun with the pivot is on the Fortjones side but there is a couple that are just like him on the property where the pond is (SCARFACE).Im from over the hill to the west of the valley(Coastie) but spend alot of time shed hunting and photing the horns in the valley.
Still working on some folks over that way to get some access to shed hunt in the spring.Theres bone all over the valley just need some access and I can pick it up like a vaccum.Any more info Ill pm you.
