Here is a Blacktail I took on openening day up in the High Country. No monster but respectable for a Blacktail; especially in our area. Saw 6 goats, 6 bears and a couple of coyotes on the 2 day hunt. Beautiful country and a memorable hunt.

Looks like you are out on the ledge and no place to go. Nice buck and picture, congrats to you on the hunt.

That is a fantastic picture! Beautiful country and a very nice Buck also. Congrats on a nice buck.

Nice fat deer, Tatoosh area I believe? I'm jealous, the blackies really are up high still, hunted hard five days down below and just not seeing much. Great buck.

Not Tatoosh. That is Mt. Baker in the background. Thanks for the nice comments!!!

Oh, thought it might be Adams. We camp at Baker also, nice country. That was our beer the bear got into two years ago at the lake resort. Good fishing too. Caught Dollies to 5lbs and some Kokes....

Oh, hey Blue.....That is a good lookin buck. Maybe one of these days you can show me how ya do it!

Haahaa... Cool, we use to make that as well. Could have been some great advertising! My old brewery buddies and I had a big laugh about that when it happened. So that was you eh? Cool! Haahaaaaa....

It really was us, no lie. My family and another family have been having an annual campout for about 35 years -100 plus people, we reserved Baker. I got there that night, everyone was saying how they had seen a couple bears around. That night, they came in to camp, got in to my uncle Joe's beer (two cases Ranier) and drank every last one. They stumbled over to the proprietor's cabin a few hundred yards away and passed out. He woke up, opened the door and $hit himself to pieces when he tripped over the bear. They then ran up a tree, passed out again for nearly 12 hours until fish and game arrived and chased them off. F and G came back the next morning and set up traps with what? Ranier beer cans!! It worked!!! Saved their arse too, bear season had opened just two days earlier and it's open lands all around Baker.

Very Nice!

Looks like it was way more productive for you on the W. side this year vs over in E. WA. What a great looking place. I saw a couple of billies up there this year and about 30 across the valley. You'll have to tell me about your hunt next Sun.

Congrats.
