son's first buck

My son got this buck with his bow at 7 yards last season.
The buck ran about 75 yards and was all done!!! He was so excited he drug out his own deer. Not bad for 11 years old!!!

Very proud dad!!!

Thank you very much. It is on the wall with my buck also. He is definitely hooked that is for sure!!! We are going hunting this year for mule deer. He has passed up 3 shots this year because they were not good shots to take. He shows a lot of maturity for his age. He had a 40-50 yard shot on a nice blacktail 2 point during the early season but passed it up because he knows that his effective range is 30 yards. I was proud of him!!! I hope we get a chance at one this year if so we will post what we get.

That's awesome....tell him congrats. I just experienced the same thing......my 12-year-old boy arrowed a button buck (first deer) last weekend with his bow & arrow. Great times shared with young ones.
