Oregon blacktails

I drew a willamete tag for any deer, any ideas of where to find some good hunting spots. The season goes from september 1st to Febuary 29, 6 months to hunt. Does anyone really know where that 1 percent of public land is in the willamete unit thats stated in the synopsis?

My best recomondation would be to talk to orchards in and along the valley.

Probably not going to find a big buck, but many orchards complain about deer damage.

Vinyards could be a place to try too. ODFW may be able to help you find some that complain about crop damage. Try the Oregon Department of Agriculture too. That is who pays out for crop damage.

You'll have better luck doing homework on private ground access than finding that 1% of public.
