Hi,
I'm fairly new to the area and I'm looking for my best opportunity to get back and hunt high-country blacktails in southern oregon. Is there some accesssible country with some deer up high? Any tips or ideas? I live in Douglas County and am thinkg to try the general rifle hunt this year due to other out-of-state hunts in the late archery. Please PM me if you'd like.

the Kalmiopsis wilderness is a good bet or try Greyback or Mt Ashland area. I have taken several in t area and there are some good ones. There have been numerous bucks taken on Greyback that are in the record book.

Those are some areas I would definitely like to start exploring.

I like the Greyback area and the MT. Ashland they are higher elevation and the bucks stay up there until it snows...

I'd rather be huntin!!!!
