My wife took this buck last Monday. We could not go out to our normal spot because our daughter had been sick and my wife does not like to hunt alone. I asked her if she wanted me to put a tree stand up near our house where a buck had made about ten rubs. She was all for that; so I put a strand up for her Sunday evening and the next morning she went out while our daughter and I slept in. About two hours later she came bouncing back in the house, all kinds of excited and with good reason. She hammered this buck and he only made it 30-40 yards. We scored him at 112 7/8 gross and 106 7/8 net.

That's a great looking buck. Gotta love those narly bases. He looks like an older buck with that roman nose. Probably on the downslide of his life cycle. Congrats on a great buck.

Yea I would like to know how old he is. There is zero hunting pressure where she took him so he could very well be on the down slide.

By the way we just got back from a Montana whitetail hunt where she again got a bigger buck than me. I will post that in the white tail section in a day or two.
