Saw a nice three point drop one of its horns today. The other horn was just hanging there ready to go. He was not injured and had three does with him. I have never seen a buck around here (humboldt bay) drop this early. Any body else seeing this type of activity?

The buck I saw was across the road from the refuge.

I saw it last year, but only that one buck. Saw 10 bucks in one bunch this morning, wish I could have found them during the season!

Matt, have you seen the bucks over on Woodley Island? I saw a big 4X4 and a 3X3 about three weeks ago.

I drove by the Refuge about dark one day. There must have been 30 deer out in the field.

Yeah, I have seen a couple dandies over at Woodley Is. I work right across from the refuge and spend lots of time with my tripod mounted Swarovskis watching. My office is on the top floor so I spend my break times with the binos watching from the balcony. Tuff I know but somebodys got to do it!
