2011 Oregon Blacktail

This year I was not able to take any time off of work so I was hunting on the weekends and around the holiday. I had only seen several small bucks on does and a couple of great bucks prowling but not hooked up. This buck was prowling around and I was able to close the deal. Got this buck on Saturday the 26th...Enjoy!

You gotta love it when you find your arrow and it looks like this...

55 yards and a perfect shot put him down in about 70 yards.

One of my best blacktails to date. 21-3/4" wide.

Good mass, great frame and awesome eyeguards... Shot with an 80LB Elite Pure.

Damn fine buck!

I was on the same hunt.
Big goose egg for me tho, things just didn't come together.

Thanks Todd! I had a great year with a nice bull and a great buck. I only shot two arrows this year so I am real happy with my shot selection and yardage judging. The good Lord allowed me to be in the right place at the right time as we all know is more important than anything else in archery hunting. I hope to be blessed again this year.
